End of term reflection t4

Goodbye everyone its the end of the year and this year I will not be coming back next year because I am leaving to go to Columba Collage in Dunedin so I will not be commenting on your blogs and you will not be able to comment on mine but thank you for all the comments you have gave me this year it was amazing. This is a piece of my writing that I think is really good for my last blog post.

Literacy Reflection Term 4 Week 8

This week for literacy I did a naughty or nice and we had to persuade the teachers weather we  should be on the naughty list or the nice list and I write that I should be on the nice list also for literacy I have done random Friday writing Hope you like it.

For kiwi kids news i got a really good mark of 10/10 and for typing test i did really well because i got 28 words per minute.

Numeracy Reflection Term 4 Week 8

This week for numeracy we were working in buddy's and my buddy was Kyra. We did Christmas codes where we had to copy and paste the images to make a sentence  can you guess what our sentence is? If you do leave your answer in a comment. Hope you like it.

Main star Water safety

This time for main star I made a water safety poster my ducks are here to help, ducky number 1 says always swim with a buddy never swim alone ducky number 2 says no your limits when you are in pools, lakes, rivers etc ducky number 3 says don't forget your life jacket if your boating ducky number 4 says always have an adult watching, if your listen to all of my ducky's you will be very safe in the water.

Main star homemade gift

This time for main star I had to make a homemade gift i decided to make candle holders, we used a honey jar and a sauce jar, green glitter, old book cover, glue and the candles. We had to use recycled materials and we defiantly did that. I made 2 candle holders (that where different styles) so that I could give them to two different people.
First we had to take the labels of the jars and then for the first one I did I stenciled snowflakes and stars onto the old book cover then I had to cut them out and put them on the jar and then that was the first one done, for the second one I stenciled stars and a Christmas tree that mum drew, and then cut them out and stuck them on then I put pva glue all over the jar and covered it with green glitter and then I had to let it dry before I could take the old book cover off so it had a stencil effect so when it dried I did that then lastly I had to melt the candle so I could put it in the jar I had to get help poring the melted candle in because it was really hot and then it had to set and then they where all done a now I can give them away to the people that I am going to give them to.

Literacy reflection term week 7

This week for literacy I had to do a Christmas tree and we had to get the song 12 days of Christmas and  write a NZ version.

Main star flotation device term 4

This term for main star I had to make a flotation device, and I decided to ask my dad to help me find some materials and we found 2 buckets from the garage and we also found some rope, I plated the rope so that it would be stronger and then I tied the rope to the handles of the buckets and then we did not need to cut it because they would pull me in from the rope and they would have heaps of rope because the hole role would be there if the needed any more rope.

The idea is that the buckets have tight lids on them so they hold air and float and then the rope is short so that it can go under your armpits and you can float because the buckets will be holding you up.

This time for main star I had to do a Christmas card and I did it for the teacher aid in my class witch is Ellie I thought that it would be really nice of me to appreciate the teaches in my class that's why I did not go and do my best friend I did Ellie because she is always a big help in our class so merry Christmas Ellie I hope you have a great day.

This week for KKN (kiwi kids news) quiz I got what I normally get which is 100% and for my typing I have really improved and I am really proud of my self I think that I did my best today.

This week for numeracy I have done the same thing as last week but I have done more it was really fun doing problem solving this week because I of the days in the we did different problem solving and we were in a group and we did a number hunt which was really fun hope you like my problem solving I put a lot of effort into it.

This week for literacy I have done myths and legends writing and I have also done my follow ups.

Main star term 4 survival kit

This is my summer holiday survival kit we normal go on holiday to nelson were it is warm and sunny and we go to the beach a lot and that is what my survival kit is based on. 

KKN and typing test

This week for kiwi kids news i got what i normally get witch is all of them correct but i did not aspect it because the questions were a bit harder than normal and i did not watch the news last night or all week really so that was a real surprise.

This week for typing i did really well considering i have not been practicing my typing with i should be this week has probably been my best week for typing.

This week for word work I did spelling code and i had to put my words into numbers my goal was to write down all my words and get them correct without looking at the sheet with all of the words on it and i have completed that goal.

This week for numeracy I did problem solving and i did a couple of tasks and then we had to put the tasks into a spreadsheet but we had to do different strategies i had to work on trying to use two different strategies I have not finished them all yet.

For typing i got less than i normally get because i have not practiced much and for the quiz i got 10/10 correct witch is the most that i have gotten.

Word work Reflection

This week word work we chose our word and then we had to put them in a spreed sheet and practice them and then we had to find a card and do that with our words and i did word pyramid and it was really fun.

This week for numeracy we did geometry and we had eight activates to do and we did a kitchen floor one where we had to design a kitchen floor and for the other one we had to see where the food is on the grid and put it into the sheet.

This week on Wednesday me, Corianna, Franklin, Honor, Bessie,  Caspian and Mia. Corianna sung, I did 2 dances, Franklin honor and Bessie played cello and violin and Mia did 2 dances. The 2 dances i did was a lyrical and a Broadway. Mia did a ballet and a jazz.
